Introduction of CCEW2018

To actively response to climate change and the shortage of energy resources, China has accelerated the pace of energy reform and energy transformation. In recent years, China has gained remarkable achievements in the field of clean energy in the world: Hydropower, wind power, photovoltaic (PV) power generation capacity has ranked first in the world, renewable energy generation installation has exceeded 600 million kilowatt; since 2012, China's clean energy investment has ranked first in the world for five consecutive years and China is leading global clean energy development.

Clean energy reserves are plentiful compared with fossil fuels. According to statistics, the global water power resource is over 10 billion kilowatt, terrestrial wind resource is more than 1 trillion kilowatt, solar resource is more than 100 trillion kilowatt, only 0.05% of them developed can meet the energy needs of the human society in the future. On September 26, 2015, President Xi Jinping proposed to explore building global energy internet and to promote clean and green ways to meet global power demand in the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit. Building the global energy internet is an important move to speed up the realization for the large-scale development, configuration and efficient utilization of clean energy and “clean substitution, electric energy substitution”.

In this context, to promote the high-efficient use of clean energy to the whole society, speed up the construction of global energy Internet, safeguard energy security and expand international exchanges and cooperation in the field of clean electricity. To meet the market demand, China Clean Energy Week 2018 (CCEW2018) realizes a full upgrade on the basis of the former Clean Energy Expo China (CEEC),establishes the CCEC, the theme conferences, featured events as a whole and is committed to building a global clean energy trading platform, fully demonstrating the total solution for clean energy. It will be grandly held in Beijing from March 25 through March 31, 2018.
